“Hey, you have a kindred spirit”, my husband told me. “Someone else who picks stuff from the sea and beach and makes jewellery from it” (he was referring to my start-up adventure Flinga, remember?).
Intrigued I checked out the site he’d stumbled upon, and oooh, what lovely things this artist makes! Pendants from pebbles with holes drilled in them, shaped as a heart or something else nice, and seaglass with ornamental metal pieces soldered on… just beautiful! Surfjewels is handmade and totally eco-friendly: lots of beach finds such as pebbles and shells, but also plastic which is recycled – I love that, that waste left behind or thrown into the ocean and washed ashore, is not only cleaned up, but even recycled and turned into ornamental pieces! New materials used by Surfjewels are eco-friendly, such as organic hemp for cords. And most importantly of course: these unique pieces are simply beautiful!
Whether or not we’re kindred spirits, at least we share the source of inspiration: nature and the sea, and having seen what Surfjewels creates, I have nothing but respect and admiration. Great job!

Thank you very much.
It is great to find things that would otherwise be wasted and make them into something pretty.

Your jewellery looks pretty, I bet it catches the sunlight nicely.
